(don't click it x)
Matched is a book set in the future, where a Society decides every single thing that you do, what you eat, where you work, what you do for work, what you wear, and even who you marry. Cassia Reyes is a sixteen year old girl, heading towards her Matching Banquet, where she will see a picture of the boy she will marry in years to come, from where he is, in another city, at that exact time. When Cassia has a surprise Match, she is at first over the moon with joy, but soon becomes weary when disaster strikes. The Society don't make mistakes. They are always on your side, the side of right. Or are they..?
I really enjoyed this book because it kept me on my toes. Don't read the blurb! Thats my top tip, never read the blurb. If you do, you'll eventually figure out what's going to happen, and that sucks, trust me.

Uglies by Scott Westerfield
New post for bookworms; Uglies, by Scott Westerfield.
If you, or someone you know, liked the Hunger Games, then they must try this:
(set in the future, when our race have been almost extinguished, and the world that we know has completely changed) Tally Youngblood is an Ugly; a girl waiting eagerly for her sixteenth birthday, when she will have an operation that will turn her into a Pretty; a beautiful being who's life consists of partying, partying, and well, partying!
But when Tally goes into the Pretty part of the city, on a secret mission to talk to New Pretty and old best friend Peris, she meets a strange girl, who turns her world upside-down.
I couldn't put the book down, and the idea that this new culture would look down on our current generation with such disgust and confusion, is very interesting, though if you're not one for slightly eccentric books or twisted plots, then this is not the book for you.
